Healthy Wyoming board member Pat Sweeney recently wrote to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle about the Labor and Health committee and its need to actually focus on healthcare for Wyomingites.

Closing the coverage gap will not only give almost 20,000 Wyomingites access to health care, it will also provide much needed financial resources to already struggling rural hospitals.

The incoming Legislature will have many challenges to address, and improving health care must be at the top of that list. The new Labor and Health committee would be wise to set aside its differences and focus on workable solutions. It’s time to help Wyomingites.
