Tens of thousands of Wyoming residents lack basic access to healthcare. Most work jobs that don’t offer health insurance and don’t pay enough to buy private coverage—but they still earn too much to qualify for Wyoming Medicaid.

As a result, far too many of our Wyoming neighbors go without treatment when they’re ill, screenings for deadly disease, and necessary prescriptions.

Our political leaders can fix this problem, but they’ll only do it if we tell them to.

The Wyoming Legislature has the choice to expand Wyoming’s Medicaid program during its 2023 general session, closing the “gap” in healthcare coverage into which too many of our neighbors fall.

Say Yes to Medicaid expansion, healthier families, stronger communities, a better economy, a Healthy Wyoming

Marcie Kindred, Real Estate Agent & Mother

“When every member of the family has access to high-quality, affordable healthcare, everyone benefits. Healthy families lead to a stronger workforce and vibrant communities. Medicaid expansion is good for families and good for business.”

Andy Couch, Executive Director, Nicolaysen Art Museum

“Together we need to recognize the possible benefits of expanded Medicaid funding. The health of our employees and workforce is integral to our success and therefore is a priority when making decisions that impact our economy.”

Nancy Sargent, Retired Nurse

“I spent 49 years of my life caring for the people of this community as a nurse. Medicaid expansion would allow more people to receive the healthcare they deserve and bring more support to our hospitals and healthcare workers.”

Ed Boenisch, Adjutant General

“There are approximately 24,000 folks in Wyoming (elderly, single parents, children, disabled, working individuals) who are hurting because they do not have and cannot afford medical insurance. I support Medicaid Expansion for our Wyoming neighbors in need.”

Sally and Jim Belcher, Concerned Citizens

“After 44 years of marriage, we have disagreed about many things, but we agree that Wyoming needs Medicaid Expansion! We believe this is not a political issue, but one of positive financial impact for providers, working families, and our state.”
